To help foreign buyers learn about the U.S. Atlantic Sea Scallop, Food Export–Northeast has created an online buyer’s guide. It features an in-depth buyer’s guidebook and two videos with experts in the seafood industry. The guide will soon be translated into multiple languages so buyers from around the world can utilize this helpful resource.

Buyers Toolkit

A key component of the new online U.S. Atlantic Sea Scallop Buyer’s Guide is a downloadable toolkit covering a wide range of topics including:

  • Background and history of the U.S. Atlantic Sea Scallop
  • Fishery management overview
  • Sustainability and traceability
  • Scallop grading and packaging

In addition to the downloadable toolkit, the landing page features two videos with subject matter experts on the sustainability and versatility of U. S. Atlantic Sea Scallops.

The new online American Sea Scallop Buyers Guide is part of an ongoing project to build a unique and comprehensive Northeast US seafood species resource library for Food Export–Northeast’s In-Market Representatives and suppliers to utilize in buyer conversations.
